Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Sprite2GIF

Why does my sprite animation wobble when exported?

Wobble occurs when frames inside a spritesheet have inconsistent padding or varying bounding box positions. Enabling Sprite2GIF auto-alignment trims off blank edges and anchors every frame centrally or relative to its feet.

What file formats can I export to?

You can export your stabilized animations as animated GIF files, modern animated WebP files, reconstructed PNG spritesheets, or a ZIP archive containing separate PNG frames.

Does Sprite2GIF upload my images to a server?

No. Sprite2GIF operates entirely inside your web browser using HTML5 Canvas APIs. Your images remain private and local on your machine.

How does background color removal work?

Our background detection algorithm samples corner pixels or custom selected hex colors and applies adjustable tolerance to remove non-transparent backgrounds without stripping internal character details.

Can I manually adjust single frame offsets?

Yes! In the bottom timeline filmstrip, use the 1px micro-nudge arrow buttons on any individual frame card to fine-tune alignment.
